Taken from MSNBC: A church planning to burn copies of the Quran on Sept. 11 is ‘definitely praying’ about the controversial demonstration, its pastor said after Gen. David Petraeus warned it would put in danger the lives of U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan.

You know….Just because we are allowed to wake up every morning and decide what we want to eat and do with our day does not mean we have the right to do what we want.  There are soldiers everywhere in the world sacrificing their freedom and their lives to make sure that we can wake up and have the freedom to decide what to do with our lives.   If this church is allowed to go through with their Koran burning they are endangering the soldiers that dont get the freedom to wake up and decide what they want to do with their day because they are “RISKING THEIR LIVES TO ENSURE THAT WE HAVE CAN”.   Thinking without acting causes others to suffer.  This church should think twice before burning Korans.  Straight Up.

America, The Land of Opportunity

Posted in Uncategorized on 09/07/2010 by echo morose

I am beginning to believe that America is the Land of Opportunity for Foreigners.  Don’t get me wrong, I am all for diversity and acceptance of different cultures but I’ll be damned if I keep looking around and watching everyone with a foreign name excel and get opportunities that I don’t qualify for.  AT&T, you have made me VERY angry.  I just watched a video online about AT&T “opening their doors” for people from Iraq to teach them about business.  I have applied for so many many positions at AT&T that it is embarrassing.   Do they even hire American people anymore? I don’t think they do.  I bet they received my resume, looked at my last name and since it was not hard to pronounce they tossed it in the trash.  I have a degree in Business and a boat load of business experience, a very professional resume and it made no difference at all.  I think I will cancel my AT&T service and go with another company….

Tiger Woods

I just love how Tiger Woods played shitty during his divorce but now that it’s all over he can make a “fantastic” comeback with a great “power swing”.  GTFOH  This kills me and the damn media is just eating it alive.  His game playing was part of a media ploy to make him look as if he was really suffering.  Trust me people, he didnt care.  He and his PR team came up with this ploy for his playing to totally SUCK while he went through his divorce.  Now that it’s over he can make a “comeback” and make many more millions.  Jeez!

Thanks LaTonya Draine for making me see the light on this!

Another CEO resigns amid sexual harrassment charges

Posted in Uncategorized on 08/06/2010 by echo morose

The web is all abuzz with stories of Mark Hurd, Chairman and CEO of HP resigning following a sexual harassment probe found  ”numerous instances where the contractor received compensation and/or expense reimbursement where there was not a legitimate business purpose.”  Surely this is not the first time we have heard this.  It seems to me that “rich and powerful” men do not know well enough to keep their advancements to themselves.  To make matters worse, these men are often married with children.  The funniest part about this is when Hurd admits via a statement:

“As the investigation progressed, I realized there were instances in which I did not live up to the standards and principles of trust, respect and integrity that I have espoused at HP and which have guided me throughout my career.  This is a painful decision for me to make after five years at HP, but I believe it would be difficult for me to continue as an effective leader at HP and I believe this is the only decision the board and I could make at this time.”

I don’t get why he realized this AS THE INVESTIGATION PROGRESSED.  Did he not realize this the whole time as he was spending company dollars?  Sorry to break it to you Mark but you are right, no one is going to view you as an effective leader after a stunt like this.  Logging off as I wonder where the hell they find these people.

Blind Item from Gawker

Am I right on this? Someone tell me if I am. This is a blind item that I saw on Gawker.

“Two reality show people. One married. One not. They’ve been carrying on behind the scenes for months. The married one is leaving their spouse and coming out to be with the other one. Publicly. The production company has plenty of changes to deal with this point and doesn’t yet know how they are going to handle this bombshell.”

My response: This is definitely Sarah Palin & Kate Gosselin

lol

Naomi Campbell and the “dirty looking stones”.

Posted in Uncategorized on 08/05/2010 by echo morose

This particular blog is in responce to Naomi Campbell and the “dirty looking stones” that she claims to have received as a gift from someone (she claims to not know who though).  I have read all over the internet today (in particular the Chicago Tribune, MSN, and NPR) that Naomi Campbell took the witness stand in a Dutch Court today to give her side on allegations that she previously accepted Blood Diamonds from former Liberian President ( and alleged murderer) Charles Taylor.  Campbell, who allegedly was dressed rather conservatively with her ‘wig’ pulled back into a neat chignon, said that she received a bag of ‘dirty looking stones’ from some men who had knocked at her door explaining they were a gift.   Not knowing what to do with them she passed them along to a charity who has stated that they have no record of ever receiving them.

If we can cut through the bullshit in this story, I think it is rather obvious that Campbell knew that these were uncut diamonds.  Why in the world would someone present such a famous woman with simple dirty rocks? Why would she even pass them along to someone else if they were just rocks?  Referring to the diamonds as “dirty looking stones” was a smart move on her legal team’s/ P.R. staff’s behalf  because I’m pretty darn sure that Campbell (given her ruthless behavior and snooty demeanor) wouldn’t have been smart enough to say this.  I can just see them right now advising her on her appearance and telling her to say they were simply dirty rocks that she wanted to get rid cause they held no value to her for her to keep them.   People kill me with the B.S. , the story has P.R. (public relations) written all over it.  From her conservative hair and dress to her chosen words.  It’s rather obvious that she is playing the dummy role here.  lolololol as I log off.  Check out the pic of the rather “dirty looking” stone I attached to this post.
